Now days, very often we listen, use a word “Blog”. This post aim to familiarize our new comers on the internet with this word, which is taking great importance today. Typically Blog is a truncation of the expression “web log”. Generally, it is a discussion or informational site published on the internet and consisting of various posts written by its author.

Most of the blogs are mainly textual i.e. in text format, although some focus on art (art blogs), photographs (photoblogs), videos (video blogs or "vlogs"), music (MP3 blogs), and audio (podcasts). Most popular blog platforms are Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr.

Originally use of blog is only limited to the posting some post related to author’s hobby and were usually the work of a single individual, and often covered a single topic. More recently "multi-author blogs" (MABs) have developed, with posts written by large numbers of authors and professionally edited. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

But now, blog is a very good source of earning money. It is possible to make money blogging but it takes time and a lot of hard work and it doesn’t happen for everyone. A blog provide you space over the internet, which you can sell or you can say you can monetize your blog traffic by showing them some ad banner or links.
